Role Summary - Quality Assurance Engineer

We are looking for a talented QA Engineer - one who is meticulous with architecting and developing mobile solutions for TTT’s client projects. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of best practices when it comes to software testing methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the engineering and design teams in order to define, manage, and present well-structured test plans and test cases.
  • Identify project risk in collaboration with all stakeholders at different points in the project lifecycle.
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities on a project-by-project basis
  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
  • Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
  • Identify, record, replicate, and communicate defects to project teams and help to validate the course of action and its ability to resolve issues leading to flawless deliverables
  • Define and track quality assurance metrics on a project basis.
  • Work with the Design team to factor interaction considerations into all testing methodology on all projects
  • Work with all stakeholders to ensure that deliverables meet the requirements and specifications set out in the project plan and project agreements
  • Help to continually refine Two Tall Totems’ testing methodology, documentation, and library of automated tests to increase efficiency and improve the results of our testing efforts

Skills/Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience in development and quality assurance testing with at least 1 year in an intermediate QA role within a digital agency, software company, or start-up environment
  • Expert level experience in planning and implementing test plans within enterprise, cloud-based, web and mobile platforms and products including iOS and Android
  • Relentless in organization of issue tracking, monitoring, and checking/communicating status
  • Proven ability to clearly and confidently document, report, and present test results to internal teams, external partners, and client stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of testing and workflow tools such as Bugherd, Jira, Zephyr, Selenium, and Trello.
  • A clear and confident understanding of web browser standards, trends, challenges, and nuances
  • Strong technical background, experienced with basic scripting and programming
  • Familiar with Scrum, Agile, and Lean project methodologies
  • Solid SQL knowledge.
  • BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject

  • ISTQB Certified Professional
  • MS/PHD degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject - we value those who value a good education
  • Native mobile development experience
  • Experienced with testing for performance and security a plus but not required
  • An active presence in online development communities and open source projects a plus

Contract Length: Minimum 1 year
